Coronavirus | Infected child dies in north-western Syria, and total number of infected people increases to 1000, of whom some 500 recovered

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of a child in hospitals in Idlib city who was infected with the coronavirus.

The Syrian Observatory has also documented the death of an elderly man in rural Aleppo a few days ago.

The death toll rose to 11 people. The breakdown of fatalities is as follows: an elderly woman in Al-Dana town in Idlib countryside, another woman in Souran town in Aleppo countryside, a doctor in northern Aleppo countryside, an elderly man in al-Bab, a 50-year-old man in the city of Salqin in rural Idlib, four people in al-Bab town in Aleppo countryside, a child in Idlib and an elderly man in northern Aleppo countryside.

On the other hand, health authorities have recorded today 93 new coronavirus cases in north-western Syria, which is under the control of HTS and Turkish-backed factions in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.

According to Observatory statistics, the number of confirmed cases, since July 9 to date, rose to 999, including medical staff and doctors.

While 30 cases have been recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovery cases to 492.
