In 24 hours | Some 115 fighters of 5th Corps and local gunmen from Sweida killed and injured

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored a tense calm prevailing in western countryside of Sweida at the administrative border with the eastern countryside of Daraa, following bloody clashes in the region during the last 24 hours, which left dozens of casualties among the Fifth Corps formed by Russia, and local gunmen from Sweida.

According to Observatory sources, the death toll rose as other fighters were killed and wounded. The death toll of the Fifth Corps has reached 12 fighters, in addition to 23 wounded.

While the death toll of regime-backed forces and local factions in Sweida has risen to 16, and at least 63 fighters were injured.

Yesterday, members of the “Fifth Corps” managed to control positions in the town of Al-Quraya, following violent clashes with local factions in Sweida. While the town of Al-Quraya is witnessing a state of alert by fighters from local factions and the regime-backed forces, amid warnings of an anticipated storming of the town in the coming hours.
