Protesting Russian military involvement in Syria | People in Idlib and Aleppo countryside stage vigils

SOHR eyewitnesses have reported seeing dozens of civilians staging vigils in Idlib and al-Bab in north-eastern Aleppo countryside, denouncing the crimes committed by Russian forces against the Syrian people, during five years of their involvment in the devastating war.

The Russian military intervention in Syria began on September 30, 2015, alongside regime forces.

The Council of the Russian Federation had authorized President Putin to intervene in Syria, and the Orthodox Church had blessed this intervention, which had killed, displaced thousands and destroyed cities and towns by air support provided to regime forces during military operations in rural Damascus, Daraa, Homs, Hama, Latakia, Aleppo and Idlib, for five consecutive years.
