Daraa | Unidentified gunmen kill child, as they try to assassinate former ISIS member in Daraa al-Balad

Daraa governorate – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR actitvists say that a child was shot dead today by unidentified gunmen during the assassination of a young man in the city of Daraa al-Balad.

According to Observatory sources, unidentified gunmen targeted a young man, who was a former member of the Islamic State and accused of carrying out assassinations in the area, following the reconciliation with the regime, killing him and killing the child who was at the same site.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, landmines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from last June to date, to more than 690 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 457 persons, 126 of whom are civilians, including 12 women and 16 children, in addition to 210 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

81 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 23 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to 22 members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
