Vigils in Daraa | Demonstrators demand release of detainees and call for lifting siege imposed on Kanaker, Rif Dimashq

Daraa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have monitored residents staging several vigils in Daraa Al-Balad, Tariq Al-Sadd and Daraa’s camps, demanding the release of detainees held in regime prisons. The demonstrators have also expressed solidarity with Kanaker town in western Rif Dimashq, which is under a tight security siege by regime forces, amid large military build up in order to storm the town.

Moreover, the demonstrators lifted placards with slogans written on them denouncing the kidnappings and arrests throughout Daraa province, and calling for held the corrupt regime officials and representatives in the province accountable.
