Mass protests in Daraa | People demonstrate against Syrian regime and Iranian militias in Tafas city

Daraa governorate – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR eyewitnesses have monitored seeing dozens of residents of Tafas town in western countryside of Daraa, staging a mass demonstration calling for the overthrow of the regime and the release of detainees in its prisons.

The demonstrators chanted slogans against the Syrian regime and Iranian militias “Long live Syria and Bashar al-Assad is down.”

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory monitored vigils in Daraa mosques, expressing solidarity with the besieged Bosra al-Sham and Kanakir, and demanding the release of detainees in regime prisons.

On September 25, SOHR activists monitored the residents of Al-Harrak towns in the eastern countryside of Daraa participating in demonstrations, calling for the improvement of the living conditions, chanting “We want to live” slogan.

Meanwhile, the residents expressed their solidarity with Kanaker town which is under a tight siege by regime forces. The demonstrators also renewed their demand of the toppling of the Syrian regime.

On September 24, SOHR eyewitnesses reported seeing dozens of residents staging a vigil in Tariq Al-Sadd neighbourhood in Daraa city, protesting kidnappings, assassinations, “Shabiha-like” behaviour and terrorism practiced by regime forces led by General “Hossam Luke”. Moreover, the demonstrators demanded the lifting of security tight procedures imposed on Daraa province.
