Coronavirus | 66 new confirmed cases in north-western Syria, and total number of infected people increases to 1,157

Health authorities have recorded today 66 new coronavirus cases in north-western Syria, which is under the control of HTS and Turkish-backed factions in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.

According to Observatory statistics, the number of confirmed cases, since July 9 to date, rose to 1,175, including medical staff and doctors.

While 54 cases have been recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovery cases to 608.

The death toll rose to 12 people. The breakdown of fatalities is as follows: an elderly woman in Al-Dana town in Idlib countryside, another woman in Souran town in Aleppo countryside, a doctor in northern Aleppo countryside, an elderly man in al-Bab, a 50-year-old man in the city of Salqin in rural Idlib, four people in al-Bab town in Aleppo countryside, a child in Idlib, an elderly man in northern Aleppo countryside and a man in Zugrra camp in eastern Aleppo countryside.
