“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces and rebels trade fire on frontlines of Jabal Al-Zawiyah, as Russian reconnaissance drones fly over the area

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored regime rocket attacks in the early hours of Saturday morning, targeting several positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, opposition factions fired several rockets targeting regime positions in Kafr Nubl city in southern Idlib. On the other hand, Russian reconnaissance drones were seen flying over the “de-escalation zone”.

Yesterday, Observatory activists documented the death of one rebel and the injury of three others as a result of artillery and rocket fire by regime forces on the frontlines of Jabal al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside.

Similarly, regime forces shelled positions in Jabal al-Zawiyah, the frontline of Kabana in north-east Latakia countryside, Tal Wasit and Al-Hamaidiya in Sahl al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama.

Meanwhile, jihadist factions targeted regime forces in the village of Al-Dar al-Kabira in Idlib countryside with artillery. No casualties were reported.
