Death toll update | Ten Turkish-backed police officers killed and injured in yesterday’s car-bomb explosion in Al-Bab

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Syrian Observatory activists have documented a spike in the death toll of yesterday’s explosion in Al-Bab city. Three police officers were killed in a car-bomb explosion at a checkpoint of the Turkish-backed civil police in Al-Bab city in north-eastern Aleppo. The death toll is expected to rise as the explosion left seven other police officers injured, some seriously.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported hearing a loud explosion in the city of Al-Bab, which is under the control of Turkish forces and proxy factions, east of Aleppo province. The explosion was caused by the detonation of a car-bomb near a civilian police’s checkpoint at Al-Hal market’s roundabout in al-Bab city, killing one person and injuring several others as an initial toll.
