Bloody family fight | Over ten people killed and injured in Assal Al-Ward on Syria-Lebanon border

Reliable sources have told SOHR that an armed fight erupted between two families in Assal Al-Ward area in western Qalamoun in Rif Dimashq. Fierce clashes between the two families resulted in the death of a young man and a child, in addition to the injury of at least ten others, including women and children. Meanwhile, a state of tension is growing in the town, along with regime security services deployment, imposing a curfew. The reasons behind this family fight remained unknown.

It is worth noting that groups, working in smuggling goods and narcotics from and to Lebanon, are active in Assal Al-Ward area in western Qalamoun, since the town is located on the Syria-Lebanon border.
