Accused of disobeying National Army’s orders | Azaz court sentences “Abu Khawla Mohassan” to three years in prison

SOHR activists say that the Military Court of Azaz in the areas held by Turkish-backed factions has sentenced today “Abu Khawla Mohassan”, leader of the “Al-Sharqiya Martyrs Gathering”, to 3 years in prison instead of 5 years. Which is accused of several charges, including detention and deprivation of liberty and acting alone without referring to the leadership of the National Army.

It is worth nothing that the commander of “Al-Sharqiya Martyrs Gathering” launched a military action without coordinating with the leadership on the positions of Russian militias and Kurdish forces in the town of Tadf before he was arrested.

ON July 3, Syrian Observatory activists monitored protests in Kafr Lusin camp and Atma in Idlib, and Afrin city in north-western Aleppo, demanding the release of “Abu Khawlah Mohassan”, the leader of “Shuhada’a al-Sharqiyyah Gathering”. “Abu Khawlah” is held in a prison of the Turkish-backed “National Army” in northern Aleppo, after being sentenced to five years’ imprisonment.

On June 30, SOHR sources reported that the judiciary of the Turkish-backed “National Army” sentenced “Abu Khawlah”, the leader of “Shuhada’a al-Sharqiyyah Gathering” operating in areas under the control of “Peace Spring” and “Euphrates Shield”, to five years’ imprisonment for forming a faction separate from the “National Army” structure and not obeying orders.
