Initial death toll | Nearly 40 persons killed or wounded in car-bomb explosion in Al-Bab

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have reported hearing a loud explosion in Al-Bab city, which is under the control of Turkish forces and the factions of “Euphrates Shield” in north-eastern Aleppo. According to SOHR sources, the explosion was caused by the detonation of a car-bomb near “Othman” mosque in Al-Bab city centre, leaving tens of casualties.

SOHR initial reports confirm that at least seven people were killed, while over 32 others were injured, some seriously. The explosion also caused substantial material damage.

Yesterday, Observatory activists reported hearing a loud explosion in the Turkish-controlled city of Afrin in northern Aleppo, as a result of a car-bomb explosion near Ma’arata junction on the outskirts of the city. The explosion injured five people.

It is worth nothing that the area hosts military headquarters of Turkish-backed factions.
