Death toll update | Number of casualties of Al-Bab bloody blast jumps to 95

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: As the number of casualties of the bloody explosion which hit Al-Bab city this afternoon is mounting, SOHR activists have documented the death of 18 people who were caught up in the car-bomb explosion near the city’s garages. The death toll is expected to rise further, as the explosion left over 75 persons injured, some seriously. In addition, there are unconfirmed reports of more casualties.

A few hours earlier, SOHR activists reported hearing a loud explosion in Al-Bab city, which is under the control of Turkish forces and the factions of “Euphrates Shield” in north-eastern Aleppo. According to SOHR sources, the explosion was caused by the detonation of a car-bomb near “Othman” mosque in Al-Bab city centre, leaving tens of casualties.

SOHR initial reports confirm that at least seven people were killed, while over 32 others were injured, some seriously. The explosion also caused substantial material damage.
