“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces and rebels trade rocket fire on frontlines of southern Idlib

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored exchange of rocket fire on the frontlines of south Idlib countryside, this dawn, between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and opposition factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham on the other.

Yesterday, Observatory activists said that members of “al-Fath al-Mubin” killed two regime soldiers on Kafr Batikh frontline in Idlib countryside. It is worth noting that areas in Idlib and Latakia countryside experienced frequent flights by reconnaissance drones.

On the other hand, opposition factions targeted with artillery regime positions on frontlines of Sahl al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama, in response to the shelling by regime forces on rebel positions, the villages of Sahl al-Ghab and Zayzon thermal station near the administrative border with Idlib province. The factions’ bombardment caused fires in the area.
