Demanding the release of detainees and an end to arbitrary arrests | Protesters cut off roads in al-Nuaima town, east of Daraa

Daraa governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Observatory eyewitnesses have monitored protests in the town of Al-Nuaima in the early hours of the morning. Protesters closed the streets in the town and set rubber tyres on fire, responding to the arbitrary arrests by the regime security forces and demanding the release of the detainees.

On October 2, the Syrian Observatory reported that dozens of residents of Tafas town of Daraa al-Gharbi countryside, took to the streets in a mass demonstration, demanding the overthrow of the regime and the release of detainees in its prisons, chanting slogans against Iranian militias and the Syrian regime “Long live Syria and Bashar al-Assad is down.”
