Assassination | Two HTS members killed in infiltration attempt by unknown persons in southern rural Idlib

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored an infiltration attempt by gunmen into the headquarters of a military formation affiliated with HTS in Al-Arbaeen area in southern Idlib countryside. Two members of the headquarters were killed with silencer guns. No information has been reported on the identity of the attackers, whether they were members of the Islamic State or the Jihadist “Huras al-Din” group.

Two days ago, SOHR sources confirmed that the number of fatalities among HTS who were killed in the security campaign in Tal’ada town has risen to five members, while others sustained serious injuries.

 According to SOHR sources, several members of the ISIS cells managed to escape from the town, while others have been still hiding there.

In the meantime, HTS imposed a curfew and the HTS-affiliated “General Security Service” has announced Tal’ada town a military zone.

According to SOHR sources, four members of the ISIS cell blew themselves up, after being encircled in a house in the area.
