Old ordnance | Landmine explodes nearby Afrin, injuring shepherd

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported hearing an explosion in Afrin city which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions in north-western Aleppo. The explosion was caused by an old landmine which exploded in a flock of sheep near petrol station on the road to Jendires in western Afrin, which seriously injured a shepherd.

On October 10, SOHR sources said that a landmine exploded in farmlands in Al-Safsafah village in the western countryside of Hama, which resulted in the injury of several female workers.

A few hours earlier, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian after the explosion of an old landmine in Kafr Halab in the western countryside of Aleppo, while he was shepherding cattle.
