Idlib | HTS arrests commander of “Hurras Al-Din” in Jisr Al-Shughur for unknown reasons

Reliable sources have told SOHR that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrested a commander of “Hurras al-Din” organization, which swore allegiance to al-Qaida, in Jisr Al-Shughur city in western Idlib.

 

On October 5, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that security group of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrested a senior Saudi commander known as “Abu Abd Al-Rahman Al-Mekki”, a member of “Shura Council” of “Hurras Al-Din” jihadi organization, after storming his house in Idlib city.

 

HTS also arrested two members of “Hurras al-Din” organization, which swore allegiance to al-Qaida, in Salqin city on the Iskenderun border in north-western Idlib for unknown reasons.

 

While on July 29, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrested “Fadl Al-Libi”, the leader of “Jaysh Al-Sahel” operating under the banner of “Hurras Al-Din” jihadi organization. HTS also arrested at least five non-Syrian member of the same faction, who were escorting “Al-Libi”. “Al-Libi” and his escorts were arrested for “refusing to leave Syria and engage in fighting in Libya, at Turkish authorities’ orders”.
