Armed fight in “Peace Spring” areas | Clashes erupt among Turkish-backed factions in rural Ras Al-Ain

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored clashes with medium weapons this evening between Al-Hamzat faction and Al-Rahman Corps in Sawdaa village in Ras Al-Ain countryside, in “peace Spring” areas in Al-Hasakah countryside.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces interfered a few hours later to defuse the disagreement. However, no casualties have been reported.

On October 12, Observatory activists reported fierce clashes between the Turkish-backed factions of “Jaysh Al-Sharqiyyah” and “Sultan Murad” in Ras Al-Ain city (Sere Kaniye) in northern Al-Hasakah, in areas under the control of Turkish forces and “Peace Spring” operation forces.

According to SOHR sources, a dispute flared up after members of “Jaysh Al-Sharqiyyah” beat a member of “Sultan Murad”, which evolved to armed fight with heavy weapons between both sides in the residential neighbourhoods of Ras Al-Ain city, triggering panic among the city’s residents.
