The Observatory: About 39 thousand cases of Corona virus within the areas of the Syrian regime

Today, Wednesday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that the number of Coronavirus infections within the regions of the Syrian regime increased to about 39,000, while the number of deaths reached 2,100, amid silence by the regime.

The observatory said that about 4,750 new infections were recorded during the past days throughout the Syrian governorates, with 260 new deaths from the virus during the same period.

The governorates of Aleppo, Damascus and its countryside are still recording the largest portion of cases, amid catastrophic medical conditions.

According to the latest statistics of the Observatory, the number of people infected with the Coronavirus within the system’s regions reached about 38,600 confirmed infections, 5,700 recovered, while 2,100 people died.

The injuries are distributed over the various Syrian governorates, but the majority of the injuries and deaths are mainly concentrated in Aleppo, Damascus and its countryside.
