Security chaos in Daraa | Three people killed in different circumstances and places within hours

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

As killings and assassinations continue in Daraa governorate as part of the rising security chaos, SOHR sources say that the body of a man was found, during the last hours, on Daraa–Damascus road.  No information has been reported on the identity of the perpetrators to date. They also stole the victim’s car.

Moreover, one person was killed by mistake in the town of Hiit in the western Daraa countryside, without knowing the circumstances of his death to date. In the same context, a sergeant of the regime forces was killed after being shot dead by unknown assailants on Al-Sahwa-Khirba road in western Daraa countryside.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, landmines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from last June to date, to more than 719 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 477 persons, 132 of whom are civilians, including 12 women and 15 children, in addition to 211 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

89 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 23 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to 22 members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
