“Our silence paves the way for our elimination” | Unknown individuals draw anti-regime graffiti on walls of Daraa’s Al-Harrak

Daraa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Syrian Observatory activists say that anti-regime graffiti left by unknown individuals on the walls of Al-Harrak city in the eastern countryside of Daraa, condemning the Syrian regime’s violations. Some pieces of this graffiti read: “Our silence paves the way for our elimination, one after another”, while others threaten to kill the head of the military security branch.

This development comes as a part of Daraa’s popular uprising against regime forces and loyal militias.

On October 15, Observatory activists monitored nearly 3,000 civilians participating in mourning the death of leaders and former opposition fighters in Daraa al-Balad city. The demonstrators chanted slogans calling for the overthrow of the Syrian regime and holding the Syrian regime and its security services the responsibility for the assassination.
