188 new Coronavirus cases in NW Syria | Total number of infection cases jumps to 2,649, 22 die so far

Syrian Observatory activists have documented a spike in the number of deaths in the wake of coronavirus outbreaks in north-western Syria. 22 people died so far in areas under the control of the “Salvation government” in Idlib and surrounding areas, and areas controlled by the “Interim Government” in north Aleppo countryside.

On the other hand, health authorities have recorded today 188 new infection cases with COVID-19 in north-west Syria region, which is under the control of HTS and Turkish-backed factions in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.

According to Observatory statistics, the total number of confirmed cases recorded since July 9 to date has risen to 2,649, including doctors and medics.

Meanwhile, 93 cases were recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 1,256.
