Observatory activists say that a scuffle broke out between two families in the town of Al-Baguz, east of Deir ez-Zor, during which a young man threw a grenade. The fight evolved into clashes with machine guns between the two families, leaving eight people injured on both sides.

On October 6, reliable sources informed SOHR that tension is growing in Matab Al-Bo Rashid village of Al-Jazarat town in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor in the wake of yesterday’s armed fight.

The fight erupted between people of “Al-Bakarah” tribe from Al-Qusaybah village and people of Al-Jabbour tribe from Matab Al-Bo Rashid village after dispute over the possession of a plot of land which is located on the administrative border between Al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor. The fierce clashes left at least ten casualties on both sides.
