Coronavirus | 188 new confirmed cases in NW Syria, and one death recorded

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the highest daily spike in the number of cases in north-western Syria, which is under the control of HTS and Turkish-backed factions in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.

 22 people died so far in areas under the control of the “Salvation government” in Idlib and surrounding areas, and areas controlled by the “Interim Government” in north Aleppo countryside, since the first case was recorded on July 9.

On the other hand, health authorities have recorded today 216 new infection cases with COVID-19 in north-west Syria region, which is under the control of HTS and Turkish-backed factions in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.

According to Observatory statistics, the total number of confirmed cases recorded since July 9 to date has risen to 2,865, including doctors and medics.

Meanwhile, 44 cases were recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 1,300.
