Assassination | Unknown gunmen shoot dead civilian in eastern Deir Ezzor, and SDF arrest four suspects linked to ISIS cells

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: reliable sources have informed SOHR that two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle shot dead a civilian young man working at a garage in Al-Basat area on the outskirts of Al-Busayrah city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

This assassination comes a few days after individuals asked the young man to pay the “zakat dues” of an estimated 10,000 USD. The young man’s family held the individuals who asked him to pay money, but they released these individuals after being threatened.

 

After the assassination, a security group of Syria Democratic Forces stormed a house in Abriha town, arresting four people affiliated to ISIS cells, believed to be the perpetrators of this assassination.

 

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 581 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties,

 

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 204 civilians including 15 children and 11 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 373 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
