Joint patrols | Russian and Turkish forces tour rural Ain Al-Arab (Kobani)

SOHR sources have reported seeing Russian and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol in the eastern countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), along with the flight of Russian helicopters over the area.

 

The patrol, which comprised four Russian armoured vehicles, four Turkish others and two Russian helicopters, set off from Ghareeb village on the Syria-Turkey border, east of Ain Al-Arab, and toured the villages of Ain Batt, Qarrah Mough, Jayshan, Kharabisan, Baghdak, Sarzouri amd Khan, then it returned to Ghareeb village again.

 

On September 24, Syrian Observatory activists monitored Russian and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol in the eastern countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani. A patrol of eight vehicles (four Russians and four Turks) set off from a border crossing near Ghareeb village. The patrol would tour the villages and towns of Ghareeb, Ain Abat, Qarrah, Mough, Kharbisan, Baghdik, Khan, Al-Dinyay, Sarzouri, and then return to the crossing where they set off. It is worth noting that the patrol was escorted by two Russian helicopters.
