Al-Raqqah | Turkish forces shell village in Ain Issa with heavy artillery
Syrian Observatory activists have reported that Turkish forces fired several artillery shells on Houshan and Al-Khalidiyyah villages in Ain Issa countryside in northern Al-Raqqah. No casualties have been reported.
SOHR sources monitored earlier this afternoon many residents participating in mass demonstrations in Tal Tamr area in Al-Hasakah countryside and Al-Raqqah city, condemning and denouncing the recent military escalation by Turkish forces and their proxy factions on Ain Issa area in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah.
Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces renewed their rocket fire on positions in Ain Issa town, which is under the control of Syria Democratic Forces and regime forces in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah. The Turkish rockets hit several residential areas in the town in the early hours of Friday morning, causing material damage. However, no casualties were reported.
On Thursday, SOHR sources monitored a rocket attack by Turkish forces on a checkpoint of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), in Ain Issa area in northern Al-Raqqah, injuring two civilians who were near the checkpoint.
