In response to Macron’s statements | “Salvation Government” and “Interim Government” ban the entry of French products to Syria

The administration of Bab Al-Hawa crossing on the Syria-Turkey border decided to ban the entry of all French products to areas under the control of the “Salvation Government” in north-west Syria region in response to the French president’s repeated insults of “Prophet Mohammed”.

 

Meanwhile, the administration of Tal Abyad crossing on the border with Turkey decided, on instructions by the “Interim Government”, to ban the entry of French goods due to the recent development regarding the “deliberate incitements against the Islamic religion and insulting statements against Islamic figures”.

 

It is worth noting that the French goods have been available in Aleppo and Idlib countryside for years because of their high prices.

 

On the other hand, several people in Idlib expressed their anger over the repeated insults, putting the “French flag” on the ground near Al-Sa’aa square in Idlib city and letting passers-by step over it.

 

Another flag was placed on the road near a security checkpoint affiliated to Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in the western countryside of Aleppo, so that people would step over it as a mark of anger and disrespect in light of Macron’s latest comments on Islam which have been interpreted as controversial and disparaging in many countries.
