Reacting to the arrest of two persons by security services | “Al-Hirak” residents storm regime checkpoint in Daraa, detaining several members

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that gunmen from the city of Al-Hirak in eastern countryside of Daraa, stormed a checkpoint belonging to the regime forces, and detained the members of the checkpoint with the officer in charge of them, in response to the arrest of two civilians from the city in Damascus, for unknown reasons, one of whom has recently returned to Syria from the state of Kuwait.

On October 20, SOHR sources said that members of the Military Intelligence branch arrested a former opposition fighter of Daraa factions, in Daraa al-Balad and taken to an unknown destination.

On the other hand, a young man was seriously injured by indiscriminate gunfire in Daraa al-Balad.

Moreover, an unknown explosion was heard in Da’il town in Daraa countryside. No further information has been reported.

SOHR activists have reported a new assassination attempt, as a former commander of “Shabab Al-Sunnah” faction was attacked by unknown assailants, while he was driving his car in Inkhil town in northern Daraa.
