Reacting to the arrest of two persons from Damascus | Residents of al-Hirak in Daraa burn pictures of the head of Syrian regime “Bashar al-Assad”, as protests escalate

Daraa governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory has monitored some residents in the city of Al-Hirak east of Daraa, burning the pictures of the head of the Syrian regime “Bashar al-Assad”, and cutting off the main roads with burning tires to express their anger, following the arrest of two civilians from the town regime security services in the capital Damascus.

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that gunmen from the city of Al-Hirak in eastern countryside of Daraa, stormed a checkpoint belonging to the regime forces, and detained the members of the checkpoint with the officer in charge of them, in response to the arrest of two civilians from the city in Damascus, for unknown reasons, one of whom has recently returned to Syria from the state of Kuwait.
