“De-escalation zone” | Opposition factions respond to repeated violations by regime forces, shelling positions in Saraqeb and Sahl Al-Ghab

Opposition factions shelled, with heavy artillery, regime positions in Jurin camp in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama, Saraqeb city and Al-Dar Al-Kaberah, in a response to the repeated violations by regime forces in Idlib.

Meanwhile, regime forces shelled the villages of Sfuhen, Al-Fterah in rural Idlib and other positions in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama. No casualties have been reported.

SOHR sources had documented a spike in the death toll of the Russian airstrikes which targeted a camp of the Ankara-backed al-Sham Corps in Jabal al-Dawila area in Harem, northwest of Idlib.

As many of the wounded died and further bodies were discovered, the number of fighters killed so far has risen to 78, while rescue teams continued searching for the missing and hospitalizing the wounded.

The death toll is expected to rise as the attack left 90 others injured, some seriously, while many others are still missing under the rubble, amid reports of further fatalities.

It is worth noting the camp contained over 180 person affiliated to Al-Sham Corps (fighters, trainers and officials) at the time of the attack.
