Repercussions of Macron’s insults | Residents demonstrate in Manbij, denouncing inciting statements against “Prophet Mohammed”

SOHR activists have monitored many residents participating in a demonstration in Manbij city, which is under the control of “Manbij Military Council” in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, protesting and denouncing the French president’s inciting statements against the “Prophet Mohammed”.

 

Yesterday, Observatory sources reported renewed demonstrations in SDF-held areas in Deir Ezzor countryside, protesting the offensive statements of the “Prophet Muhammad” by the French president. A demonstration took place in the town of Al-Shuhayl, east of Deir Ezzor, during which demonstrators demanded the departure of French troops, and burned the French flag and a poster of Macron.

 

A day earlier, SOHR sources said that Syrian people of all backgrounds were seen today flocking to streets in areas outside regime’s control, staging and participating in mass demonstrations, protesting the statements and repeated insults by the French president “Emanuel Macron” against the “Prophet Mohammed”.

 

In areas under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions, exactly in Ras Al-Ain in Al-Hasakah, Tal Abyad in Al-Raqqah, Afrin city, Jendires district and Al-Bab city in rural Aleppo, SOHR activists have monitored mass demonstrations in which protesters burnt French flags and posters of “Macron”.

 

While in Idlib province, demonstrations took place in Idlib city, Binnish and Killi towns, condemning Macron’s insulting statements against the “Prophet Mohammed”.

 

As for SDF-held areas, Observatory activists have monitored hundreds of people of Al-Shaytat and surrounding villages staging a mass demonstration in Ghranij town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. It is worth noting that SDF troops in armoured vehicles fired bullets in the air, in an attempt to disperse the protesters, which resulted in the injury of two demonstrators.

 

Also, in Al-Busayrah city, Al-Izba and M’eizileh areas similar demonstrations took place, where the demonstrators demanded the departure of French troops located in Deir Ezzor, and burnt French flags and posters of “Macron”.

 

Moreover, individuals stuck posters on the walls of Al-Raqqah city, under the slogan “Except the Messenger of Allah”, some of these posters read “I am not an ISIS member. I am not a terrorist. I am a Muslim. I am of the community of Mohammed.”
