West of Idlib | Female engineer dies of injuries sustained in earlier U.S. airstrikes on leaders of “Huras al-Din” organization

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of a Female engineer, who had injured by a U.S. strike which targeted leaders of the “Huras al-Din” organization on October 15. The lady was travelling in her car near the site of the attack on two leaders of the “Huras al-Din”, and was seriously injured and taken to Turkish hospitals, then died this morning.

On October 16, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that an Egyptian commander named “Abu Zar al-Masri”, a Moroccan named “Abu Yusuf al-Maghribi”, and a child who was with them, were all killed in an American drone strike which targeted their vehicle on the western outskirts of Idlib city yesterday.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, “Abu Zar al-Masri” previously served as an “Islamic preacher” and a member of “Majlis al-Shura” (Consultative Council) in the “Huras al-Din” organization, and supervised a sharia institute for small age groups within the organization before joining “al-Shura Council”.While Abu “Yusuf al-Maghribi” served as the general security officer of “Huras al-Din”.

The two commanders were former al-Qaeda members, before joining the ranks of “Huras al-Din”, and they did not get on well with the leader of HTS, according to Observatory sources.
