Daraa | Unknown assailants kill Military Security agent east of Daraa, and others assassinate former HTS fighter west of the city

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

As assassinations continue to escalate in various areas in Daraa governorate, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the killing of a member of the regime Military Security, after being shot by unknown gunmen in the town of Al-Ghariya al-Sharqiya in eastern Daraa countryside.

In the western countryside of Daraa, a former HTS fighter, who struck a reconciliation deals with the regime and chose to stay in the area, was killed by gunmen in the city of Tafas.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, landmines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from last June to date, to more than 740 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 489 persons, 136 of whom are civilians, including 12 women and 15 children, in addition to 215 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

93 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 23 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to 22 members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
