Syrian desert | Over 20 fighter jets and helicopters strike ISIS positions
Regime forces and loyal militiamen, with considerable Russian support, continue sweeping the areas where ISIS cells are active in the Syrian desert in Hama, Homs, Al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor.
In this context, SOHR sources have monitored nearly 20 Russian fighter jets and several regime helicopters striking positions in Al-Raqqah desert and the eastern countryside of Hama.
On October 26, SOHR sources reported military operations on several frontlines in the Syrian desert, as fierce clashes continued between regime forces and loyal militias on the one hand, and Islamic State members on the other, on frontlines of the eastern countryside of Hama. The clashes coincided with renewed airstrikes by Russian aircraft and regime helicopters.
