“De-escalation zone” | As regime bombardment expands, education directorate suspend working in schools of Areha and surroundings

The education directorate in Idlib announced suspension of work in schools of Areha, Al-Bara, Iblin, Mantaf, Balyoun and Maarbaleet in the southern countryside of Idlib for two days as a result of the ongoing regime bombardment on the region.

Syrian Observatory activists had reported regime intensive bombardment with heavy weapons, targeting residential neighbourhoods in Areha city, countryside and other surrounding areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib, which left several civilians injured in Areha. It is worth noting that regime bombardment expanded to the surrounding areas of Maarrat Misrin city, Kafriya and Al-Fu’ah towns, north of Idlib city.
