New price increase | HTS’ “Watad” company raises fuel prices in north-west Syria, as Turkish lira plummets against dollar
Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that “Watad” fuel company run by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham has raised fuel prices in the areas held by HTS and factions.
The prices have risen as follows:
- Petrol has increased to 5 Turkish lira per litre.
- Imported gasoline has increased to 4.90 Turkish lira.
- Refined gasoline has increased to 3.90 Turkish lira.
- A gas cylinder has increased to 74 Turkish lira.
“Watad” has justified the new rise due to the ongoing plummet of Turkish lira against the U.S. dollar.
On October 17, reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that “Watad” fuel company run by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham has raised fuel prices in areas under its control.
The prices have risen as follows:
- Petrol has increased from 4.60 to 4.70 Turkish lira per litre
- Gasoline has increased from 4.50 to 4.60 Turkish lira per litre
- A gas cylinder has increased from 62 to 70 Turkish lira.
On September 10, SOHR sources confirmed that “Watad” fuel company has raised fuel prices under pretext of “Turkish currency plunge against US dollar”. The prices have risen as follows:
- Petrol has increased from 4.40 to 4.50 Turkish lira per litre
- Oil has increased from 4.30 to 4.40 Turkish lira per litre
- A gas cylinder has increased from 60 to 62 Turkish lira.
