Drone attacks | Airstrikes target olive pickers in rural Idlib, killing one and injuring others

SOHR activists have documented the death of a civilian in Tal Tunah village near Maarrat Misrin city, after a drone attack this morning on a workshop for harvesting olive.

Meanwhile, two other men and a woman sustained various injuries after a similar drone attack on a workshop in Nahla village in Areha.

This escalation coincides with the start of olive harvest in farmlands in north-western Syria.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that the education directorate in Idlib announced suspension of work in schools of Areha, Al-Bara, Iblin, Mantaf, Balyoun and Maarbaleet in the southern countryside of Idlib for two days as a result of the ongoing regime bombardment on the region.

It is worth noting that regime bombardment expanded to the surrounding areas of Maarrat Misrin city, north of Idlib city, and Areha city and countryside in the south.
