“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces fire several shells on Jabal Al-Zawiyah, interrupting tense calm for hours

SOHR activists have monitored tense calm prevailing throughout the “de-escalation zone” since the early hours of Sunday morning as a result of the poor weather conditions in the area. Meanwhile, regime forces fired several shells on positions in towns and villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib, but no casualties have been reported.

Syrian Observatory activists documented the death of three members of Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement in regime shelling on the frontlines of Deir Sonbol town in the east of Jabal Al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside. Regime forces also renewed artillery fire on Jabal Al-Zawiyah, targeting Kansafrah town and Kafr Oweid village, along with frequent flights by reconnaissance drones over the area.
