Idlib | Children among nearly 30 people killed and wounded in intensive regime rocket attacks on several positions

Syrian Observatory activists have documented further fatalities and casualties  in the intensive rocket attacks by regime forces this morning on several positions in Idlib province. The number of fatalities has jumped to seven, including four children: a child in Areha, a child in Idlib city and two displaced children from the southern countryside of Hama in Kafreya town.

The death toll is expected to rise further as the intensive rocket attacks left nearly 20 persons injured, some seriously.

Regime forces started intensive rocket attacks  on Idlib this morning, targeting with over 120 rockets and artillery shells several positions in Ihsim, Mar’yan, Nahlaya, Balshoun, Deir Sonbol, Al-Bara, Shanan, Al-Fterah in the southern countryside of Idlib, Kafriya, Al-Fu’ah in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and Idlib city and its outskirts.

SOHR sources have just documented the death of four civilians, including a little girl from Areha city in southern Idlib. Moreover, regime forces fired over 45 rockets this morning on Areha, leaving other casualties. It is worth noting that regime rockets hit Areha as a Turkish military column was passing by.

On the other hand, regime forces shelled positions in Al-Fterah in southern Idlib, Kafrya, Al-Fu’a, on the outskirts of Maarrat Misrin in eastern Idlib, and Idlib city and its outskirts, but no casualties were reported.
