“De-escalation zone” | Child killed in regime shelling on Ariha, and factions target the outskirts of al-Saqelbiya city in Hama countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of a little girl as a result of ground bombardment by regime forces on residential neighbourhoods in Ariha.

In this context, factions operating in Idlib countryside shelled with more than 5 rocket-propelled grenades, positions within the regime-held areas al-Madiq castle and the vicinity of al-Saqelbiya city in the western countryside of Hama, reacting to regime forces shelling on the city of Ariha and the towns and villages of Idlib countryside. No casualties have been reported so far.

SOHR activists said that regime forces shelled the city of Ariha in Idlib countryside with heavy artillery, as well as villages and towns in Idlib countryside and Jabal al-Zawiya area, targeting Kansafra, Kafr Aweid, Majdalia and Maarbalit.

Meanwhile, the factions targeted regime forces’ gatherings on the Harsh Kafruma frontline.

The factions also targeted positions in Kafranbel and Hazarin within the regime-held areas in Idlib countryside, amid confirmed reports of casualties among them.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored, this morning, a rocket attack by regime forces targeting areas in Kafr Aweid, Al-Fatira, Fififel, Safhoin and Benin in the southern countryside of Idlib, and Al-Ankawi in Sahl al-Ghab northwest of Hama.
