Joint patrols | Russian and Turkish troops conduct new patrol at Syrian-Turkish border, east of al-Qamishli

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored Russian forces and their Turkish counterparts, conducting a new joint military patrol in al-Hasakeh countryside at the Syrian-Turkish border. Four Turkish armoured vehicles entered from the border with the village of Derna Aghi and headed east with four Russian armoured vehicles, coinciding with the flight of two Russian helicopters over the area.

On November 5, Syrian Observatory activists monitored Russian and Turkish forces conducting a new joint patrol in Al-Hasakah countryside. Four Turkish vehicles and four Russian others set off from Sherik crossing on Turkey border in the west of Al-Darbasiyyah and toured the villages of Dalek, Malak, Zahr Al-Arab and Kasra in Zarkan countryside. The patrol later headed to the south-western countryside of Al-Darbasiyyah and took Al-Hasakah-Al-Darbasiyyah highway to the city’s southern part and Al-Ghanamiyyah area in the west, then it returned to Sherik, coincided with the flight of two Russian helicopters over the area.
