Reprimanded by his commander | National Defense member assaults commander in Al-Mayadeen

SOHR sources inside the city of Al-Mayadeen, which is under the control of the Iranians and allied militias and regime forces, say that a dispute took place between the commander of the National Defense militia in Al-Mayadeen and one of his members. The member assaulted his own commander badly in front of the “Al-Rabwa Canteen” on the Corniche street in the city, after the commander reprimanded the member for his failure to fulfil his military duties for about a week.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the member was under the influence of alcohol and severely beat the militia commander.

On November 3, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that joint patrols of the “Military Police” and “Military Security” services launched a new security campaigns in Al-Mayadeen city, which is under the control of Iranian and regime forces. This campaign aims to search for the individuals who passed their date of joining the mandatory and reserve service to regime’s military.

On October 14, reliable SOHR sources said that the regime security services launched a security campaign in several areas of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor in recent days.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, this campaign aimed to arrest young people wanted for military compulsory service. Regime security services arrested about 50 youths from Mayadeen city, which is under the control of Iranian militias and some regime-affiliated military formations, as well as some 55 youths from the towns of Al-Zabari, Salou and Mohassan in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
