“De-escalation” zone | Rebels foil infiltration attempt in Idlib countryside, while regime forces shell villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah

Syrian Observatory activists have reported clashes this evening with heavy and medium weapons between regime forces and opposition factions on the frontlines of Al-Fatera in rural Idlib, after the factions foiled an infiltration attempt by regime forces into positions there. The clashes left casualties on both sides.

Meanwhile, rebels shelled regime positions in Hazarin, Al-malajah, Al-Faterah and Al-Dar Al-Kaberah. The rebel shelling coincided with regime artillery fire on villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside.

Observatory sources reported earlier this morning an exchange of rocket fire between regime forces and the factions of “al-Fateh al-Mubin” operations room on frontlines of Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib. No casualties were reported.

SOHR activists also reported that regime forces fired several rockets on positions in Al-Fatera, Kansafra, Sfuhin, Fulayfel, Benin and Halouba in the southern countryside of Idlib.
