Condemning “Turkish and American occupations” and the seizure of schools by SDF | Families and students hold vigil in village in southern al-Qamishli

Al-Hasakah Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Observatory sources have monitored the families and students of the village of Al-Damkhiya in the southern countryside of Qamishli, holding a vigil rejecting the “American and Turkish occupations”, and condemning the seizure of schools by the Syrian Democratic Forces and against U.S. sanctions.

On October 22, Syrian Observatory activists monitored a vigil this morning in front of the cultural centre in Al-Hasakah city, as students, educational and administrative staffs protested the seizure of schools by Syria Democratic Forces and the deprivation of children from education. The demonstrators lifted placards with slogans written on them read “No to turning our schools into prisons” and “Our schools are for us… Leave them”.
