Deir Ezzor | Unidentified jets strike positions of regime forces and Iranian-backed militias in Muhassan desert

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored in the afternoon several airstrikes by unidentified jets on Muhassan desert which is under the control of regime forces and Iranian-backed militias. Plums of smoke were seen in the targeted site, but no casualties have been reported so far. It is not known yet if the jets are Israeli or affiliated to the International Coalition. It is worth noting that the jets headed to the airspace of SDF-controlled areas just after the attack.

Earlier this morning, SOHR activists reported hearing loud explosions in Al-Bokamal area, which is controlled by Iranian forces and loyal militias in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. According to Observatory sources, the explosions were caused by a rocket attack targeted the positions and posts of the Iranian-backed militias in the area of Al-Sikkeh on the outskirts of Al-Bokamal. The attack left six Iranian-backed militiamen dead in addition to the destruction of many vehicles.

It is not known whether the attack was carried out by Israeli airstrikes or surface-to-surface missiles fired by International Coalition forces stationed on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.
