Security vacuum in regime-held areas | Two unidentified persons found dead in northern Homs
Homs Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported that two unidentified persons were found dead yesterday evening with hands and feet shackled, while there were marks of gunshots on their bodies. The two bodies were found on the outskirts of Talbiseh town near the road to Al-Rastan city in the northern countryside of Homs.
This incident coincides with growing tension in the town in the wake of a dispute between the police and regime-backed militias.
Yesterday, SOHR activists monitored rising tension in the city of Talbiseh in the northern countryside of Homs, between groups affiliated with the Syrian regime. According to SOHR sources, police officers arrested the leader of “al-Taramih” group affiliated with “Al-Nimr Forces” in the city, then “Al-Taramih” members responded by arresting a police officer.
A few hours later, elders and dignitaries intervened to defuse the disagreement and the policeman and the group’s leader were released. Meanwhile, the citywas experiencing tension between the two sides over the mutual provocations of members and leaders in neighbourhoods and streets there.
