As Jeffrey admits lying to Trump | US military column leaves Syria to Iraq, causing confusion in the region

Syrian Observatory activists monitored yesterday a US military column leaving Syria to Kurdistan Region of Iraq, which caused confusion in the area, especially after James Jeffrey, the “US Special Representative for Syria”, had admitted to lying to the former US president, Donald Trump, about the real number of US troops in Syria.

 

The US military column was seen leaving Al-Shaddadi base in rural Al-Hasakah yesterday, heading to Kurdistan Region of Iraq, via Smelka border crossing. No further details has been reported whether this action is a withdrawal of US forces or just a shift change and another column may enter Syria in the next hours or days.
