Eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor | Regime forces target fishermen on the banks of the Euphrates River

Deir ez-Zor Governorate- Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that members of regime forces stationed at al-Sayal area opened fire on fishermen on the bank of the Euphrates River in the town of Al-Baguz in eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour, injuring them, one of them seriously with a gunshot in the chest.

On October 25, International Coalition jets struck regime positions in Al-Quriyyah town on the Euphrates river’s bank, as regime forces stationed in these positions had attacked, with heavy machineguns and RPGs, a military post of the SDF-affiliated “Self-Defense Forces” in Al-Tayyanahtown in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. No casualties have been reported so far.

On September 25, SOHR activists said that several mortars fell near SDF’s Self-Defense Forces’ post in the village of Al-Dahla in Deir Ezzor countryside.

According to Observatory sources, the mortars were fired by regime forces stationed on the opposite bank of the Euphrates River, while SDF responded to regime shelling by targeting the fire sources.
